The customer asked us to convert their basement into a living space with one primary request: that it not look like a basement. The project included a family room, exercise room and bathroom. The design incorporated period detailing, such as interior trim and proportionate volume spaces, reflecting the character of the existing 1910's home. The custom-built curved handrail is an example SCAL's attention to detail.
