The clients wanted to renovate the existing master bathroom in their beautiful early 1900's home. The bathroom had previously been renovated, but the space was cramped, and the fixtures and finishes were dated. The new design needed to consistent with the amazing details of this beautiful home that included 11'-0" and 13'-0" ceilings, heart pine flooring, tall windows and doors, and uniquely detailed moldings. Along with the heart pine flooring, the cabinetry, door and cabinet hardware, marble countertops, lighting and wainscot details also match original detailing throughout the house. The pedestal sink, medicine cabinet, claw foot tub, traditional tile and wainscoting were chosen to reflect a more classic look. Reusing the uniquely tall and detailed existing doors was just one more step to help tie the new design in with the original home.
